Home of the Pine River Public Library - Pine River Library Building Foundation, Inc.
The Pine River Library Building Foundation, Inc. provides funding to support quality library service and resources, responding to the diverse needs of individuals and communities.
In 1996, the Pine River Public Library formed the Pine River Library Building Foundation, Inc., whose purpose is to raise funds for a new library building. All members on this board are volunteers.
In January 1999, the Pine River State Bank building was donated to the Library Foundation. Renovations on this project were completed in July 2002. An open house for the new library was held on August 31, 2002.
As the library changes with the times, we once again find space is running out. An addition of approximately 3,000 square feet and a new peaked roof has been in the planning state for several years. The Foundation is working very hard in raising funds for the new roof at this time.
They continue to hold fund raising events and apply for grant monies. The Pine River Library Building Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit 501 (c) (3).
